Before your shed gets moved there’s a couple things that will need to happen.
Step 1
Ensure There Is Enough Space
– Confirm that there is sufficient room to remove the shed from its current location.
– Check that the new location is also accessible and wide enough for safe placement.
Step 2
Clear Hazards From the Path
– Remove sharp objects, debris, or anything that could interfere with the shed or moving equipment.
– Ensure the ground is clear and safe for the moving process.
Step 3
Prepare the Shed for Moving
– Empty the entire shed — no loose items inside.
– Remove any anchors, electric wires, or attachments holding the shed down.
– If anything cannot be removed, notify a Down East representative ahead of time.
Step 4
Check for Proper 4Ă—4 Runners
– Ensure the shed has 4Ă—4 runners installed.
– Runners should measure approximately 6 ft outside-to-outside.
– If your shed does not meet this requirement, contact a Down East representative before the move.
Step 5
Have Someone Present at Both Locations
– An authorized person must be present at the pickup location.
– Someone must also be present at the delivery location.
– Significant delays may result in additional fees.
Step 6
Complete Payment Before Offloading
– Payment is due before the shed is offloaded at the delivery location.
– We accept cash, check, or card (5% convenience fee applies to all card payments).
Additional Fees & Important Delivery Notes
All deliveries are weather dependent and may be rescheduled for safety.
Possible Additional Fees
if not already discussed
$5 per block
$175 for in-yard moving
$200 if 4x4s need to be attached
$25 per anchor
$100 per hour for driver standby time
3.5% convenience fee for card payments
Fence Policy
*WE DO NOT REMOVE FENCES*.
However, we can facilitate your fence removal at an additional cost with at least 2 weeks notice.

While every effort will be made to move sheds in a safe and careful manner, Down East shall not be held liable for any damage to lawns, driveways, landscaping, buildings, utilities, or other property occurring in the course of shed relocation or while present on site.
